Unworthy to be called a father
“The easiest way for a father or mother to earn the pejorative sobriquet “agbaiya” is for him or her to join the fray in support of his own child. What President Obasanjo did in Ondo State, especially his utterances with regard to Dr Mimiko, is not only an abomination universally, it is a radical departure from the tradition of our fathers. In fact, the president unilaterally took off his babariga and got into the fight throwing blows below the belt and re- christening himself in the process…By refusing to get into the gutter on Obasanjo’s invitation, Mimiko has left the president wallowing in the muck all alone. What the president did in Ondo is unworthy of a father of the people. I wish I could vote in Ondo State.”
