Ondo State Association, Atlanta, USA: Thoughts on April 2007 elections
We at Ondo State Association,Atlanta, USA are very concerned about the
well being of our citizens at home. We are striving for the economic
growth and safety of the general public.At the executive meeting held on June 12,2007 in Atlanta
Georgia, it was the conclusion of the association that last April
elections did not reflect the true expressions and aspirations of our
citizens.
From the overwhelming facts and eyewitness accounts received from
various parts of the state, it was apparent that the poor citizens’ votes
were stolen and the results manipulated.
In view of the statement above, we at Ondo State Association condemn
the conduct of the April gubernatorial and local elections.We however believe, as sound minded and law abiding citizens, that all
aggrieved citizens who felt abused and cheated by the electoral
process, should exercise the right to go to the tribunal set up and rectify
such fraud.
As the last hope for the hopeless in our nation, we must allow the
tribunal the opportunity to right the wrong.The law of the land must be
allowed to take its cause.There should be no short-circuiting of the law by anybody, however
highly placed.
Not allowing the law of the land to take its cause is to give
lawlessness,
gangsterism, and electoral thurgery a hiding place in Ondo State.We advice that all aggrieved parties be civil to one another and ensure
that they present their evidences before the tribunal in a
professional manner.Ondo State Association does not align with any particular party, and is
only interested in the state and good governance for the sake of our
people.Our goal, among others, is to assist the aggrieved citizens who have
genuine cases of electoral abuse; those whose mandates were stolen during
the last elections, irrespective of political party. The association
can assist with attorney and/or court costs.We expressed the willingness of our association to work with the
present government of our state in 2003. The government, however, did not
take advantage of this offer, nor of it’s talented indigenous
individuals or companies abroad.Just as Americans are building America, Europeans are building Europe,
Asians building Asia, we expect Nigerians to build up Nigeria. Citizens
need to be given the opportunity to participate in the building of
their states, and hence Country.We pray that the Lord will bring around the type of leaders in our
state and country that have the wisdom to do good to all people.Ignorance and lack of knowledge is killing our leaders. In spite of
revenue allocations to the state, our leaders still travel overseas for
medical check up and treatment. They still send their children to school
abroad for lack of quality institutions. They suffer the same power
failures like other oppressed citizens. They lack good drinking water at
their homes. They drive their vehicles through the same dusty, bumpy
roads, and they breathe the same unhygienic air. They invest with the
enemy as only unwise people do, and they die like the unwise and the
foolish. Time is never of essence to our leaders, therefore it is difficult
for them to leave the scene when their time is over.If quality of life is defined as the good life enjoyed by an ordinary
citizen due to the provision of publicly funded amenities/infrastructure
by its government, for example, water, power, security, good roads,
parks, hospitals and schools, then it is apparent that the average person
earning about $50,000 in the US enjoys a better quality of life than
even the president of Nigeria, let alone, the governors.Accumulation of wealth by individuals is not the way to progress for
us. The time is NOW for our government to start serving the people. Let
us build our state together by involving the citizens at home, and
particularly the ones abroad. Together, we can do what individual leaders
and their corrupt staff cannot do.It is our hope that whichever party or candidate is finally declared a
winner will contact the association.Ondo State Association is an association of professional individuals
and companies of various categories ranging from infrastructure, health,
and education. Most members are instrumental in helping to build
American communities.We wait patiently at your service.

My people, I shed tears today. I just could not help it. I was reading over posts and comments on this site and I saw and felt the depths of feelings (genuine) that people have for Mimiko and Ondo State. I then thought of what Ondo state would have started doing under the governance of the man of the people Dr Olusegun Mimiko, and realise that OBJ aka BabaIyabo and Agagu have really done great injustice to Mimiko LP and the people of Ondo State. Only God will decide their fates in this world and in life after. Why should Mimiko be made to suffer such great injustice when the people who own the votes have already voted him in.
What must be going on in Mimiko’s mind daily as he labours on to reclaim his stolen Mandate. What ever goes through Agagu’s mind knowing he is a thief (oh sorry, Agagu has no mind o jare). Why do people ruin good things in Nigeria. Ondo State has been suffering and in spite of the pretext and false news told to the world, Ondo State is not faring better under Agagu and this is a fact.
Mimiko, your people call you 3ce all the time now. ~This is to strengthen you and God will strengthen you sir. Your glory will arise and shine. Your vision for Ondo State will materialise. Your room for all policy will become a reality and You Mimiko will GOVERN ONDO STATE wef the year 2007 in Jesus name.
The truth will prevail and justice will be done and Agagu will crash in ignominy. Ondo state will be liberated from bondage and ALL WILL BE WELL IN JESUS NAME.
Greetings to my beloved Ondo State. We enter a brand new week today and give glory to God. We have waited long enough and God has granted us the fortitude and forbearance to carry on without losing hope for one minute or losing focus. One thing is sure, each passing day draws us closer to the declaration of the ONE TRUTH WE ALL KNOW IN ONDO STATE. MIMIKO IS THE ELECTED GOVERNOR OF ONDO STATE. MIMIKO IS THE MANDATE HOLDER. MIMIKO IS THE GOVERNOR SO CHEATED TILL TODAY. MIMIKO IS THE MAN OF GODLY PATIENCE THAT WOULD RATHER SEEK THE PATH OF PEACE AND JUSTICE. MIMIKO IS THE MAN OF VISION THAT WE ARE ALL WAITING FOR TO START A SERIOUS RESTORATION PROCESS IN ONDO STATE. MIMIKO IS THE GOVERNOR RATIFIED BY GOD TO BE GOVERNOR IN ONDO STATE, AND MIMIKO IS THE MAN THAT WILL FOR A SECOND TIME BE DECLARED GOVERNOR OF ONDO STATE.
My people, we are getting our Mandate back, OH YES. My people, we are getting it back soon for we cannot wait forever, OH YES. My people, Ondo State is going to get a respite from BAD GOVERNANCE, for God has hearkened to the cries of we the poor people of the land. God will deliver us from King Pharoah the task master and give us a Daniel for justice. God is on the throne and with His love we will soon start rejoicing. The hard work is about to commence but as every GOOD FARMER that has planted good seeds, watered, weedeth and tilled the soil proper, the HARVEST WILL BE BOUNTIFUL and in addition to ROOM ENOUGH FOR ALL, there will be FOOD ENOUGH FOR ALL, there will be EDUCATION, JOBS, HOMES, WATER, ELECTRICITY, GOOD ROADS, MEDICAL SUPPLIES, TRAINING, ENTREPRENEURSHIP et al ENOUGH FOR ALL. Mark these words and in 12 months time, we will all have cause to revisit Ondo State governance and EVALUATE THE ACHIEVEMENT OF DR OLUSEGUN MIMIKO.
I am not worried one inch for I know 100% that God will doubly ratify as He is blessing NABARUMA for giving a verdict of truth and integrity. ABDULLAHI is only going to say what God knows is the truth. We people know it, but because of the way Nigerian politics had gone in the past, some evil people believe that they can cheat, lie, steal and get away with it. But God has changed the evil status quo. The people who cry enough is enough will now get the much needed saving from evil governance and Democracy will be the rule of the day.
For those who are still disillusioned with Nigerian Politics and Politicians in general, as much as we understand and dont blame you, one thing we now beg is this, look at the achievements of some few governors e.g. Fashola and Donald Duke and pray, hope and believe that more of such people with vision and integrity will enter into politics. Put that disbelief away (even if temporarily) and give Governor Elect Olusegun Mimiko a vote of confidence, support him, work with him and between 12 – 18 months from now , TELL HIM AND THE WHOLE OF NIGERIA what you have found him to be.
Omotaylor is not ranting. Omotaylor has this God given spirit that tells what people are. It is called Intuition, discernment and Trust. I trust Olusegun Mimiko, I have studied his rise to fame and power, and one thing that binds his whole journey to date, that many people know about is GENUINE LOVE FOR THE GENERALITY OF THE PEOPLE. in addition to humility, dilligence and checkable achievement records, Mimiko is being propelled by God to be a help to the people.
Why did Obama shatter all boundaries? Why did Winston Churchill succeed where others failed? Why did Nelson Mandela survive in Prison and become president of South Africa albeit decades after he started the freedom fight? Why did Nelson Mandela even started the fight against apartheid? Our ways are not the ways of God. God knows why he chose Moses, Joseph, Joshua, Daniel, Deborah, Esther, Modecai, John the Baptist and greatest of all OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST to play their particular roles in the life of mankind (Israel at large). And God knows why he has touched Dr Olusegun Mimiko’s heart and called him to do SOMETHING GOOD AND GREAT in the lives of Ondo state people.
A revolution has since started. Pen and paper revolution, not bloodshed, vandalism, looting and wanton destruction. A revolution has started, this is one of expanding the intellect and minds of the people, so that they would uphold the truth, freedom and justice. A new beginning we ask, and a new beginning we shall get. What we now do with it will go a long way.
God loves us and has given us this chance to prove to the whole world that Ondo State will prosper, develop and pioneer world class achievements. Let us all work together to make this happen. Hubert Ogunde years ago sang “Yoruba Ronu”, it is time for YORUBA to RONU for in Nigeria Hausas stick together and support their clan, Ibos do the same, but Yoruba will allow the seed of discord to tear us apart. No more of this please. It is not about individuals, it is not about the affluent and powerful, but IT IS ABOUT THE ORDINARY PEOPLE who suffer, vote, pay taxes, support and work without any REWARD. When Saul the King failed the people, God sent Samuel to annoint David king. It took time but David was crowned King and enjoyed total support (all those against him were wiped out by God). The Bible is life and what happened in Biblical stories are happening in planet earth and will be so forever.
“King” Agagu aka Saul is not fit to continue rulling the people. He is too evil, too corrupt and too serpentine. God has rejected him, you cannot bless whom God has cursed.
“King” Mimiko aka David the beloved of God has been chosen and annointed by God. Nabaruma is the Samuel that did the annointing. HE WILL BE CROWNED KING AND ALL HIS ENEMIES WILL LICK THE DUST. He will successfully govern Ondo State. The people will be happy, the land will know peace and plenty and love and joy will radiate. This is the handwork of God and it will be marvelous in our sight. Remember Balaam’s response to Balak – in the book of Numbers? YOU CANNOT CURSE WHOM GOD HAS BLESSED. It will always return back to sender in Jesus name.
Shalom my people. My spirit is so so lifted and I know the waiting is at an end and the good news will be delivered soon. SUPPORT MIMIKO WITH ALL YOUR MIGHT
