Mimiko Accuses Agagu Of Profligacy, Promises Change
Labour Party governorship candidate For Ondo State, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, has said the state has nothing to show for its huge federal allocations under the Olusegun Agagu administration, hence, the need for change.
Speaking in Lagos at the weekend at a fund raising event organised by his friends, Mimiko, who is a former minister for Housing said the state earned N56billion in 2006 alone, from Federal allocation, which he said was much more than all the monies it has earned since its creation in 1976.
He said despite the huge sum, there was nothing to show in the state.
“At the moment, Ondo lacks character in leadership and that is key to the growth and development of the state and that is what I have come to offer and I trust that the people will give me their votes in the next elections to make a change.”
The event, which held at the Sheraton Hotel in Lagos, was attended by the African Democratic Party (ADC) Presidential candidate, Dr Pat Utomi and several dignitaries from the state.
