The Ondo State chapter of the Labour Party (LP) has lambasted Dr. Olusegun Agagu over snide comments he has been making in the media against the party and its gubernatorial candidate, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, in his desperate attempt to buy legitimacy for the massive rigging which brought him in as governor of the State during the April 14, 2007 gubernatorial election.

Specifically, LP urged the embattled governor not to assume the position of a judge in his own matter but rather to wait for the outcome of the petition against his purported victory at the disputed election which is already before the Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Akure, the State capital. It equally warned Agagu to stop wasting billions of taxpayers’ money on a wild goose chase while the welfare and happiness of the people of Ondo State which should be his priority are being neglected.

Agagu had last week took 6 out of the 13 gubernatorial candidates who contested the April 14 election in Ondo State to far away Abuja where he addressed a press conference and attempted to cast aspersions on the person of Dr. Olusegun Mimiko and the LP in his desperate attempt to gloss away the fact that he won the election through the barrel of guns and with the active connivance of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) which concocted results for him even where elections were not allowed to hold.

In its official reaction to Agagu’s latest antics over the weekend, the Labour Party while warning that Agagu’s comments and actions are subjudice as the matter he has been commenting on was already in court insisted that it was therefore illegal for him to talk on it either on the television or in the newspapers as he had done at the Abuja press conference and other interviews which he has continue to grant.

According to a release issued by the party’s Director of Press, Mr. Kolawole Olabisi, Agagu’s action dipicted a desperate man who would do anything including cutting corners to hang unto a mandate that was not given to him by the people of Ondo State who voted him out on April 14 having failed to give them the dividends of democracy despite the fact that he collected over N250 billion as allocation in his first term in office.

Said he: “Since the announcement of the gubernatorial election results in Ondo State, Dr. Agagu has been busy telling the world WHY he won the election and not HOW he won it. He has thus spent more time campaigning after the election than before the election became of HOW he won.

“His latest antic is to give the impression that the gubernatorial candidates of six out of the 13 political parties which contested the April 14, 2007 gubernatorial election in Ondo State have seen the wisdom in accepting the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC’s) manufactured results and team up with the PDP to work with Agagu.

“Going by the concocted results that gave Dr. Olusegun Agagu the position of a temporary governor of Ondo State, all the gubernatorial candidates of the six political parties combined are Lilliputians. The statistics, even from this contentious INEC results, show that all of them put together scored a paltry eight percent (8%) of the total votes cast in the State during the April 14, 2007 gubernatorial election.

According to Olabisi, the situation in Akure, the State Capital and, therefore, the melting pot of all the citizens of Ondo State, is more revealing of the political irrelevance of the 6 candidates “as all the

6 political parties scored only 5,568! And even if we add the vote of the PDP, all the seven parties (PDP inclusive), scored 28,500 votes while the Labour Party alone scored 34,209 votes.”

He, therefore, noted that from all these, it was clear that the six political parties have no mandate “and therefore have nothing to lose for supporting illegality and indeed, the six Governorship candidates did not have the mandate of their political parties to assist Agagu to legalize illegality (without exception, leaders of all the six political parties have since washed their hands off these lightweight politicians).”

The Labour Party equally denied insinuations that it has embarked on negotiations with some traditional rulers over the April 14 elections saying that neither the Labour Party nor its flag bearer, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, was prepared to trade off the wishes of the people of Ondo State who voted massively for Mimiko.

“The recent publications that a delegation of traditional rulers had met Dr. Mimiko in this regard have no basis in fact. While we appreciate the role of the traditional rulers in ensuring peace in their domains, we want to appeal to them to allow righteousness and justice to guide their action in this matter,” the party stated.

It, therefore, appealed to the people of the State to remain calm and be law abiding adding that it is taking all constitutional and legal steps to reclaim the mandate freely given to it by them on April 14, 2007.

HI ALL, AVE BEEN AWAY ON A PILGRIMAGE TO THE HOLY LAND AND WE VISITED EGYPT WHERE I RODE ON A CAMEL AND WALKED FOR OVER HOURS TO GET TO THE TOP OF MOUNT SINAI SPECIFICALLY TO PRAY FOR ONDO STATE AND MIMIKO. OUR GOD IS GOOD. I ARRIVED BACK ONLY YESTERDAY AND TODAY IN THE UK WE HEARD THE GOOD NEWS OF THE FREEDON OF ALAN JOHNSTON WHO HAS BEEN HELD CAPTIVE FOR OVER 100DAYS. THIS IS A GOOD SIGN FOR WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE. MIMIKO WILL WIN THE PETITION AND GET HIS MANDATE BACK- THIS IS A FACT.
AS FOR OUR TRADITIONAL ELDERS IN ONDO STATE, I BELIEVE GOD WILL MINISTER TO THEM ALL, AND THEY WILL BE ADVISING AGAGU TO RETURN WHAT HE HAS STOLEN AND BEG FOR FORGIVENESS FOR ALL THE EVIL HES DONE IN ONDO STATE..

OMOTAYLOR IS BACK WITH A VENGEANCE, SO WATCH OUT. IN GOD WE TRUST AND IN MIMIKO WE BELIEVE THAT ONDO STATE WOULD BE TAKEN OUT OF THE DOLDRUMS.

Omotaylor, we missed you!. I was initially scared when we didn’t hear from you. Happy to have you back and glad to know that you were fighting spiritual battles in far away Egypt. Agagu right now i hear is in Dubai. Only God knows what he’s doing there. Anyway, whatever is hidden shall be revealed in broad daylight. This mandate cannot be stolen and i know God and the people will not allow it. Meanwhile let’s all keep praying for our dear state.

  4. Omotayloron 05 Jul 2007 at 11:54 am

I am honored my people that my humble self could be missed and I pray that the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob bless us all, protect and care for us and grant us all our good wishes. Dont be scared my fathers, brothers, and mothers, Omotaylor yi will never sit with the wicked and the scornful for I read my bible daily and Psalm 1 is never out of my mind. I will never be bought in Jesus name nitori anfani kiloje fun enia to jere gbogbo aiye ti o so emi re nu bi Abacha, Sadam Hussein and Hitler?
As for Agagu in Dubai, no worries, the God of Jerusalem, Canaan, Galilee, Jordan, Nazareth, Bethlehem, Mount Tabor and Mount Sinai -is indeed the God that answereth by fire. He will justify us all for he will destroy the wickedness in high places. This is the power of the God I met on pilgrimage. He honours his words.
Do you now note that there is no love lost between areafather OBJ and Yaradua? Oju ma ti Obasanjo big time for all the rikisi he caused before leaving office. Agagu can go anywhere he wants to do whatever but he will return to face the music in Ondo state, except if he is on exile knowing that his nemesis is round the corner. MIMIKO IS OUR GOVERNOR AND WE BEING GODLY AND LAW ABIDING ARE STILL BIDDING OUR TIME AND AWAITING THE TRUTH. Ondo Sunshine state will be bright again soon in Jesus name.

Welcom back Omotaylor. What is the current status of the case at the tribunal right now? Are we wining?

  6. Adegoke Ebenezeron 06 Jul 2007 at 11:00 am

    Docky,

Please let Agagu knows that the propaganda that Labour Party Introduced thugery into politics in Ondo State is the fact that the drunkard ex governor Agagu( 2003 2007) is of low memory and can’t see beyond his nose.He should be ready for entrance exam into Open University.

He should please pay a visit nearby Osun,Oyo, Edo states etc. just to reduce his attitude of wastage and tell us who introduced thurgery in these state.

He should remember that when the old PDP of 2003 now People Destructive Party(pdp) come on board in 2003,non of the incubent GOVERNORS then didn’t resist the desired changes the people shows during the 2003 election but why is he now holding to detergent liquid foam/bubble.

He should come back to learn real politics in the state and how to do the people’s will and not the Aso State politics
    Bye.
    Adegoke eben.

  7. Omotayloron 07 Jul 2007 at 7:52 am

Dear Mr Ayo Olotu – As for the case with the tribunal, of course we are winning. God has decreed that Mimiko is the man of the people for the people in Ondo State and nothing will change that. Labour Party were allowed to access the electoral records (PDP wanted to block this for they have a lot to hide), and having done that , I believe the submissions have been made. The Tribunal will reconvene to investigate all submissions so for now it is simply a matter of wait and see. Judging from Agagu’s actions, the man is scared shitless. He knows his nemesis is round the corner and this is why all that matters most to him is to indirectly beg MIMIKO by inviting him to join his governance, but God will forbid this for MIMIKO is a just and upright man who will not dine with the devil even with a lon spoon. We are winning as the Ondo State petition is the main focus of all Nigerians who are waiting to see what the Electoral Tribunal will come up with. Even Yaradua is aware of the importance of the Ondo State issue and judging from recent events, Obasanjo will not be pulling stings in this matter any longer. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT’S HAPPENING WITH THE EHINDERO SCAM?

Dear Mr Adegoke Ebenezer, it is only people who dont know Agagu that will give any credence to anything he or his cohorts of evildoers say or publicise. And who doesnt know about Agagu now all over the four corners of the world? Oruko rere ma san o. MIMIKO IS KNOWN WORLDWIDE AS A GOOD MAN, AND EVERYONE IS ROUTING FOR HIM, while Agagu is known as a corrupt, lying, thieving, drunken imbecile who has done more than enough to harm Ondo state and people cant wait to say good riddance to him.

Agagu is back from his recent trips to America and Dubai. let us hope someone has either told him the truth or he has bought a place to escape to as the truth will be out in only a few weeks time, Interesting.

  8. ayo Olotuon 07 Jul 2007 at 5:47 pm

Thank you Omotaylor.I prayed that everything work out well.I forsee something that i think Dr Mimiko and all of us the people of Ondo state should be aware of.Did Labour Party win any house of Assembly seat? If yes how many? Cos this may be one of the major obstacles we may need to surmount once Dr mimiko reclaim the mandate…of course i know that we shall prevail.Similar thing is happening right now in Anambra.

  9. Femi Olayinkaon 08 Jul 2007 at 1:13 am

Thank you for your information Mr. Taylor, May God reward us all. Agagu is a man of the past. We are earnestly waiting to see his back soon.

  10. Omotayloron 08 Jul 2007 at 2:55 am

Ayo Olotu, God is good and will perfect His will. To be honest I do not have the details of who won what in the House of Assembly. If we can all recollect everything was in shambles and ‘dabarud’. I do not have any inside information except what I read in the papers and what my God tells me He will do in this situation. I am ever so confident that MImiko and LP and the lawyers are more than capable to make things successful and clear any obstacles It is not only the ?Governorship election that was 419d in Ondo state but every other from state to Federal level and as we all know even the Presidential election was not rigging free. Let us while we await the mandate concentrate on praying and supporting our man MIMIKO. I and we all pray that the Lord upholds and refreshes him and gives him the courage and strenght he bestowed on JOSHUA who led the children of Israel to the promised land. On a positive note, if it worked in ANAMBRA it would work better in ONDO STATE in Jesus name. IROKO WA GBA SIBE O JAREEE, MIMIKO JOOOOO, NO SHAKKIIIING.

Would the moderator of this forum kindly provide us with a timescale/timetable of the election tribunal currently going on in Ondo state. An update would also be appreciated. I have googled the Internet but with no joy. A lot of people are in the dark about the whole process. Is it still happening? It appears the whole process has come to a halt. God forbid, but that is the impression one keeps getting.
We would appreciate an update as soon as possible.

  12. omotayloron 14 Jul 2007 at 12:05 pm

Temi Awe, I echo your request and that’s why I visit this site daily and make prayerful contributions. Even if there is nothing definite from the Courts yet there should be regular updates on the journey so far. It is still happening I am sure and may the process not come to a halt but to a happy ending for justice, democracy and truth. Maybe the administrators of this blog will work daily to update viewers or tell us if there is another site to visit for real. For I am beginning to sound like a lone voice in the wilderness – spooky. I pray today as always that God who is in total control name and shame the evil doers in our midst and vindicate our man MIMIKO

  13. fredon 14 Jul 2007 at 12:49 pm

Ms Dekunbi, do not be discouraged. Just keep going. Things are `rolling on ` well with the elction tribunal. Belief me, we can not ask for anything better. The papers and the law is on our side. Unfortunately, there is no way to publicise the sitting but by the grace of the almighty God, good news shall come before end of August.
    God bless you all.

OUR GOD IS GOOD AND WORTHY TO BE PRAISED. I THANK YOU EVER SO MUCH BROTHER FRED FOR CONFIRMING WHAT MY SPIRIT HAS ALWAYS MINISTERED TO ME. YOU SEE TMY BIBLE TELLS ME IN NAHUM 1
;7 THAT THE LORD IS GOOD, A STRONG HOLD IN THE DAY OF TROUBLE AND HE KNOWS THOSE THAT TRUST IN HIM. PROVERBS 28;26 SAYS HE THAT TRUST IN HIS OWN HEART(AKA AGAGU) IS A FOOL, BUT WHOSO WALKS WISELY SHALL BE DELIVERED (MIMIKO). V28 SUMS IT THAT WHEN THE RISE, MEN HIDE THEMSELVES BUT WHEN THEY PERISH, THE RIGHTEOUS INCREASE. PSALM 40:4 SAYS BLESSED IS THE MAN THAT MAKES THE LORD HIS TRUST, AND RESPECTS NOT THE PROUD,NOR SUCH AS TURN ASIDE TO LIES. PSALM 55:23 SAYS BUT THOU O GOD SHLL BRING THEM DOWN INTO THE PIT OF DESTRUCTION, BLOODY AND DECIETFUL MEN SHALL NOT LIVE OUT HALF THEIR DAYS, BUT I WILL TRUST IN THEE. PSALM 56: 3 SAYS WHAT TIME I AM AFRAID I WILL TRUST IN THEE. AND MOST IMPORTANTLY JOB 13:15 SAYS THOU HE SLAY ME, I WILL TURST IN HIM, I WILL MAINTAIN MY OWN WAYS BEFORE HIM. WE ALL KNOW THAT FOR NOT CHANGING HIS TRUST IN GOD, GOD BLESSED JOB, DELIVERED HIM AND HIS LATTER DAYS WERE BETER THAN THE FORMER, YES THOSE WHO PUT THEIR TRUST IN THE LORD SHALL BE DELIVERED. THIS IS MY SUNDAY MESSAGE, SERMON AND EVANGELISM, FOR MIMIKO, ALL THOSE THAT SUPPORT TRUTH AND JUSTICE, FOR ONDO STATE, NIGERIA AND INDEED FOR MYSELF. GOD BLESS US ALL AS WE KEEP THE MIDNIGHT OIL BURNING FOR TRUTH AND VINDICATION FOR OUR MAN MIMIKO, THE TRULY AND DEMOCRATICALLY ELCTED GOVERNOR OF ONDO STATE – SHALOM.

Nigerian Governors Sign Bogus MOU with Foreign Firms
    September 27th, 2007 by Imnakoya

One of such is Ondo State government. See excerpt below from ThisDay:

Nigerian High Commissioner to India, Ambassador Mohammed Lawal Dutsima, has raised alarm over fake promissory notes and Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) entered into by state governors and Indian companies.
Dutsima, who received in audience, Deputy Senate President, Senator Ike Ekweremadu, yesterday said several state governments entered into bogus MoUs with Indian firms without honouring them, to the embarrassment of the High Commission.
“ It is embarrassing that some state governors come to India and sign MoU, which they do not pursue. It is not good to sign such document if you have no intention of seeing it through.
I have been approached by some companies on this issue and I have passed on the complaint to my Ministry.”It is sad that while countries like Ghana , Uganda and others are optimising such opportunities and growing at a fast pace, we are not making use of such opportunities.
They are collaborating and it is working for them,” he said and pleaded with the senators to speak with their state government, especially that of Ondo, who abandoned over $33,000 in an Indian Bank after suspending a scholarship project about a decade ago.“Is Ondo State House of Assembly Speaker or any lawmaker from the state here? Please tell them to collect the money they have abandoned in an Indian bank

LP flays Ondo govt over sack of 354 workers
    By Dayo Johnson
Posted to the Web: Thursday, September 27, 2007

AKURE—THE Opposition party in Ondo State (Labour Party) yesterday described the sack of 354 workers in the State Civil Service as a vindication of its prediction of an impending mass sack by the Agagu administration immediately after the elections.

Ondo State govewrnment had announced the dismissal of the workers for allegedly presenting fake certificates while the case of another 5000 are still pending.

The Labour Party yesterday said it had cried out over an imminent retrenchment by Dr Agagu immediately after the elections. The State Information Orientation and Mobilisation Commissioner, Chief Eddy Olafeso however accused the LP of encouraging fraud, adding that politics should be devoid from what is right.

“What we are talking about is morality and not politics, this party should for once play decent politics and should not encourage fraudsters in the society,” the state government said.

But the Labour Party Director of Press, Mr. Kolawole Olabisi said that the party has once again been vindicated by this mass purge.
Olabisi pointed out that the claim by the party backed up with documentary evidence showing that the Government had already commissioned an Abuja based Consulting firm in 2005 to carry out the feasibility studies of how to reduce the State’s workforce by at least half.

“The firm had in its final report recommended that the purge should be carried out under several sub headings including, old age, certificate forgery, over stay in service, redundancy among others”.

My Brother Hapiness Akinrinola, may the almighty God bless and prosper and protect you, your family and all of us who love truth and justice and are not afraid to say so. Your messages warm my heart and encourages my resolve which will never die. Oh yes I pray for Mimiko daily and pray for my dear Ondo State that have suffered and have been ravished by lies, injustice, foolery and theivings over the past four years. The people deserve better and God will restore back our DANIEL Mimiko who is destined to make a big difference in the lives of many and the masses in Ondo State. It is a shame that in Nigeria, the people who are honest, progressive and can take Nigeria out of the doldrums are frustrated by Corrupt and Wicked others, but my brother that was Nigeria of the past. We are all working towards a new Nigeria of the future where the love of God, truth, justice, and the poor people will supercede. All what we are doing is to ensure that Nigeria does not witness a crisis or revolution like they had in Ghana with General Rawlings. How I wish people could see this and in the end let Nigeria be restored back to its former glory. In two days time, we shall celebrate 47 YEARS OF INDEPENDENCE FROM COLONIAL RULE, but as far as basic amenities, infrastrucuture, medical, educational and even politics in Nigeria is concerned, Nigeria could well be in the stone ages. This is why I am so keen o n MIMIKO and his ideals for Ondo State and indeed for Nigeria. What Agagu is doing is just trying to fool the people, buying some with money, enriching a chosen few, and when he is in hot oil, he quickly tries to pretend he is doing something. A lot of people need to be educated on how Agagu is fooling around with people’s lives and this is why I highlight hsi hidden agenda all the time.

Mimiko is an open and honest man, who has been truly wronged and done injustice and called names that he does not bear. But NO SHAKING for David the King suffered in the hands of Saul and became the most loved and most popular of all kings. God loved him special. Jesus our saviour suffered worse in the hands of His persecutors but HE IS AND FOREVER WILL BE THE KING OF KINGS. Modecai and the jews suffered in the hands of Hamman but Hamman was killed by his own sword. So you see my brother and my people, bi iro ba lo logun odun, otito ojo kan a le ba o. Let us support truth and justice and labour for our country and we will be rewarded. Anfani kil lo je fun enia ti o jere gbogbo aiye to so emi re nu?

WE WILL SUPPORT MIMIKO COME RAIN OR SHINE. THE SUN WILL SHINE ON SUNSHINE STATE AND GOD WILL VINDICATE THE RIGHTEOUS. Eddy Olafeso can keep on writing and saying all what his master Agagu tells him to announce as Information Commissioner but why I like Ondo State is that they are no man’s fool and will come out to support the truth. Agagu is only hanging by a very thin thread, which will soon SNAP, and we shall all see it soon.

My brother keep on communicating via e-mail for this struggle is an open and state wide one for all of us.

God bless us all. Up Ondo State. God bless Nigeria.

    Happy Independence anniversary in advance.

  31. Omotayloron 01 Oct 2007 at 6:13 am

    Dear Brother Inumidun
I thank you for your honesty and boldness in speaking the truth. Yes many many people from all works of life are suffering under Agagu’s administration while on the papers they want to pretend to the whole world that Agagu is doing good in Ondo State. We all know that this is not the truth. You see the common people, the traders, market women, school children, university students, graduates, the unemployed, the mother and fatherless and even the old age pensioners are all IMPORTANT in our dear Ondo ~State.

For MIMIKO who knows and will ensure that THERE IS ROOM ENOUGH FOR ALL, Mimiko who will work hard to ensure that Infrastructure, Basic amenities, education, better living, adult education, National and International liaisons that will catapult Ondo State forward immensely, this is his focus, and this is why it is a crying shame that he has been treated the way he has by Obasanjo, Agagu, and the chosen few in their evil camp who are just being pampered with Ondo State money and slapping the citizens of Ondo State with it. My bible tells me that while some trust in chariots and others in horses, we trust in the name of the living God. They are brought down and fallen while we stand upright. In Jesus name, Oro Oluwa ko ni lo laise.

I was not a politician, I dont even beleive I am right now, but I too will forever give MIMIKO 1000% support and even after he wins, I will be there to support his Ideals, Vision and Objective for Ondo State. I have many God given talents which I will put to use to support MIMIKO. I will not trade my talent with evildoers and I dont care what money they have to offer. God is not with the wicked but with the just. Oh the guns and soldiers and hooligans that Agagu use will turn on him, you wait and see. Sebi we saw what happened with the Militant Group and how they quickly paid some money to shut these people up, while they pretend to the whole world that it was all asort of sick joke and all is well.

All is not well with Agagu and can never be, for he has wronged the people of Ondo State, he has wronged Mimiko and above all he has wronged GOD. Agagu knows this. It is too late to repent for he had the chance to do that and didnt. Dont worry my brother, if God is for you no one can be against you. We will not have to die with Mimiko for God decrees that we will LIVE with Mimiko. No shakking. Ko si iku loju omo Olorun. Awon eni ibi ni won o parun gegebi Pharoah ati awon omo ogun re. MIMIKO gba sibe, you are a winner. Awa ju asegun lo. A ku afojusona o, awon Olotito ati Olododo ni Ondo State.

Well, brain neurons got to be restless at this time but be rest assured that the delay is temporary, probaly gives the camp time also to complete all the necessary paper works. Please do not belief that the old adage of `justice delayed is justice denied` here, this is an exception just as there is to most things in life. Just be encouraged.
    All remain blessed.

  33. Omotayloron 03 Oct 2007 at 6:26 am

We cannot all help but be encouraged, fornhe who has a vision should not ever give up on it. We have come too far to give up. Our Governor, Mimiko has endured so much and the people of Ondo State have suffered for so long. Nigeria is fast changing. People are not willing to just fold their arms and allow bad government to terrorise and maim them any longer. In Ondo State, LP, Mimiko and lovers of truth, jsutice and peace have followed the lawful path. It will be foolhardy to thwart all these and allow Mandate robbers to go scott free. So for all these we are encouraged and await the October hearings in Godly anticipation. Oga wa Mimiko, e ma ku iorju, e ku oro enia ni Ondo State. Oluwa a segun fun yin ni oruko Jesu.

Ondo State Election Peti-tions Tribunal has thrown out the Inde-pendent National Elec-toral Commission (INEC) defence to Labour Party (LP) governorship candidate, Dr Olusegun Mimiko’s petition against Governor Olusegun Agagu’s victory in the April 14 polls.
Delivering the verdict at its sitting yesterday in Akure, the tribunal, headed by Justice G.M. Nabaruma, said INEC filed its defence late contrary to the provisions of the electoral act.
Accordingly, a N5,000 cost was awarded against INEC as against the N12,000 demanded by the LP counsel, Dr Olumide Ayeni. The tribunal had earlier thrown out the defence of the PDP for not complying with the Electoral Act by filing its defence late.
According to the tribunal, the measure is to curtail the abuse of court process and unnecessary delay in the dispensation of justice.
The Navy and the Army joined in the petition by Mimiko did not show interest or file any defence.

The statements of defence of Agagu and the Police had earlier been admitted by the tribunal.
Ayeni had filed an application, urging the tribunal to throw out the INEC reply to Mimiko’s petition on the grounds that it was filed out of time and that the defence of INEC would amount to abuse of court process. The tribunal yesterday went on a two-week recess to reconvene on Monday Oct. 22.

INEC – AT IT AGAIN. One would have thought that with the shambolic elections that INRC oversaw in Ondo state in the April polls would have been enough for INEC to hang their heads in shame. Oh apologies, i forget. INEC would not want the truth about their deficiencies exposed and would try to corrupt the truth and path of justice. But you cannot fool all of the people all of the time. Kudos to Justice Nabaruma for not allowing the unallowable. I say they have all failed. Agagu, INEC, OBJ and all those who assisted in throwing Ondo State into this present crisis. Lets be realistic, if Mimiko’s mandate was not stolen and the right man allowed on his rightful throne, Ondo state would have seen a difference already 6 months on after the elections. There will be no delay in the dispensation of justice in Jesus name. The evildoers shall be judged and they shall continue to hang themselves. Furthermore, yoruba adage says “owo ti ogede ba gbe ara re ni o ma fi na pa”. Mimiko is destined for success, fame and glory. Ondo state shall witness GOOD GOVERNANCE under Mimiko. God is not silent, He is just at work for the best interest of Mimiko and it shall be so. We shall not die but live to declare the glory ofthe living God. No shakkiiiiiiiiing.

I UNDERSTAND AGAGU HAS JUST PRESENTED 19 TOYOTA AVENSIS CARS TO JUDGES IN ONDO STATE. My views on this is that Agagu should have waited a few more days until after the ruling of the Election petition tribunal before doing this as this is definitely a blatant resort to perverting the cause of justice. My advice to the judges is this, take the cars but stick to the truth and dont use veto power to influence the deliberations and rulings coming up with effect from the 24th of this month.

No matter what Agagu does, no matter what his press officer prints and says and no matter what “fake” projects are announced by Agagu’s office that he plans to do in Ondo State, the truth will still prevail for if we backtrack and check Agagu’s past 4 years in Ondo State, all what he had earned from Ondo State people are CURSES. He remains accursed so MY PEOPLE DONT BE FOOLED BY THE LIES THAT ARE BEING BROADCASTED BY AGAGU AND HIS PEOPLE. We in Ondo State know the truth, and of course we know better.

  40. Adegoke Ebenezeron 09 Oct 2007 at 8:50 am

Let the bribes of the judges with Toyota Avensis by the Agagu continue so that he will be made accountable for extra day spent in the office and it will be glaring to even the imbecile in the state. While Medical Doctors are still complainning about their allowances, the lecturers are there with poor funding of our higher institution. But in order to subvert the justice from the tribunal, he started his prodigal son’ gift.I know for sure that this can’t safe him.
Moreover, the close pal of Dr Kokumo Agagu should kindly get him a current dictionary so that he can know how to use the word ‘new entrant’ into ondo polititics in real sense and he should stop calling two times commissioner, one time secretary to state government and a federal minister under civilian regime in the last dispensation and finally the man that actual contributed at least 45% victory of Agagu election in year 2003.a new entrant? i think the man is still suffer from hang over.
All L.P Loyalist should be calm and continue in prayer till the D Day.we are getting there.

    Peace.

    Adegoke eben

  41. Omotayloron 09 Oct 2007 at 11:24 am

Thanks Broteher Adegoke. The key words are “we should be calm and continue in prayers”. Prayer is indeed the Key and all those who read this and love not only Mimiko but truth peace and Justice in Ondo State, please set Wednesdays aside for more fasting and prayers for the truth to prevail and for the restoration of the mandate for Dr Mimiko. Awa ki yio ku iku kan bi ko se yiye.

Talking about imbeciles, only an imbecile will attempt to give gifts of cars to Lawmakers knowing fully well there is a case to be heard and in the courts. This is good for the handwriting is on the wall for all to see. Agagu does not love the people of Ondo State and he will not stop at anything to pervert the cause of Justice but shall forever fail. Abacha thought he was all powerful but died and was buried like a dog. OBJ thought he was all powerful but who really reckons with him now. Ehindero thought he was powerful mobilising the police to terrorise and silence us in Ondo State but his name and names like Oyenusi, Anini, Barrabas are all synonymous.

Agagu wait for it, it shall soon be your turn. Please stop squandering the resources of Ondo State for your own selfish ends for this is the people’s money and for the people’s welfare in Ondo State. it is a shame that Agagu is just a squandermaniac, if not all the money he has stolen so far would have build a model ONDO CITY. Sorry I forget, Agagu loves his ogogoro, too much. No wonder his brain is perpetually befuddled. We will not rest until justice is done. IROKO OUR DAVID, MOVE ON AND DONT BE FRIGHTENED FOR THE SAVIOUR IS ON OUR SIDE AND IT SHALL BE WELL.

Ti Olorun o ba pa ni, enikan o le pa ni. No evil can befall a child of God and no threats will stop us following the path of truth and justice to the very end which I declare will be good for Mimiko, Labour Party and all of us. The Judges in Ondo State has so far displayed integrity, uprightness and Godliness and this will be their portion to the end. Gbogbo nkan to da ati ti o tun da lodi keji lo fe adura. So prayer is our Masterkey and God will hearken dilligently unto our voice and our supplications put before him. In God we trust, in Mimiko we have faith and confidence that our standards in Ondo state, educationally, medically, socially, culturally, morally and religiously will improve. Ondo Labour Party petitions Yar’Adua over alleged harassment of members PDF Written by John Abayomi
    Monday, 08 October 2007

Akure—THE LabourParty (LP) in Ondo State weekend cried out to President Yar’Adua to intervene in the series of alleged attempted murder, incessant harassments and intimidation of its members by hoodlums in the state.
According to the party in Akure, another brother of its governorship candidate, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, in the April 14 election, Dr. Abass Mimiko, was weekend attacked hence the save-our-soul message to the President.

The party in the state fingered agents of the state government in the series of attack and intimidation of its members after the April 14 elections.

But the state government through the Information, Orientation and Mobilisation Commissioner, Chief Eddy Olafeso, denied the allegation, saying that the present administration is tolerant and would never “want any member of the opposition dead”.

Dr. Mimiko, a United States of America-based surgeon, returned to the country few weeks after assailants invaded the residence of the former Vice Chancellor of Adekunle Ajasin University, Dr. Femi Mimiko,

Vanguard gathered that Dr. Abass Mimiko whose house is adjacent to that of his older brother at Olusegun Mimiko Street, Yaba, Ondo, was visited by the attackers but was caught while trying to scale the fence of the house.

AND AS USUAL CHIEF EDDY OLAFESO DENIES THIS AGAIN. WHAT EVER WILL HE OWN UP TO?

  46. Omotayloron 15 Oct 2007 at 5:44 pm

EDDY OLAFESO OUGHT TO THINK DEEP BEFORE MAKING HIS USUAL RASH COMMENTS. PLEASE READ ON:

Ondo, LP differ on anti-crime task force
    From Niyi Bello, Akure

A PLAN by the Ondo State government to establish a joint military and police task force to stem the rising wave of crime has been condemned by the opposition Labour Party (LP).

But the state Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Eddy Olafeso, described the LP stance as showing that “the members of the party are reactionaries who don’t wish this state any good.”

The state Governor, Olusegun Agagu, while inaugurating the Peace Committee of the House of Assembly last week, had disclosed that his administration was planning the establishment of a joint task force that would be made up of both police and army personnel to tackle insecurity in the state.

Agagu told his audience at a ceremony in the House, which was largely boycotted by the LP members who are about a third of the Assembly, that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)-led government would leave no stone unturned to check insecurity caused by political upheavals.

The governor, during a radio and television programme, also disclosed that investors were being scared away from the state because of its security situation.

He cited a foreign group that had earlier signified its intention of establishing a soccer academy but which declined to come because of unfavorable security reports on Ondo State.

The state government justified the plan to establish the task force on grounds that the existing state security machinery was incapable of stemming the tide of insecurity and that a proactive step needed to be taken to tackle the problem.

But the LP in a statement yesterday said it “suspected that the proposal is not unconnected with the unfolding political scenario and the anticipated fallout of the on-going litigation over the flawed April 14 governorship elections during which the mandate of the people was stolen in broad daylight”

The party alleged that because of high expectations that the election petition tribunal looking into the matter is on the verge of cancelling the last exercise and calling for a fresh one, the PDP is already planning to raise an army to once again subvert the wishes of the people.”

  47. Omotayloron 15 Oct 2007 at 5:49 pm

From above write up, it is clear that the Labour Party is not crying wolf and as we all know Agagu will stop at nothing to distort the truth in Ondo State. He did it once in April when police and soldiers were drafted in to “silence” the people and Agagu was wrongfully declared winner in Ondo State after Mimiko’s Mandate was stolen. LP party is very correct in decrying this evil move of Agagu. Why now since April does he want to tactically draft in the army? Only a week to his “judgement day”. Two weeks ago it was attempting to bribe the Judges by buying them 19 Toyota Avensis, and now this. Whatever he does, he has failed for only the truth will be declared in Ondo State.

  48. Femi Olayinkaon 18 Oct 2007 at 6:53 am

To Mrs. Taylor and others who has kept the ember of justice glowing in the state I say welldone and God blessing will be our portion.

We shall all hear from our Lord Jehova, the name that is forever to be exalted, the King of Kings, Lord of Lords, Alpha et Omega, Ominipotent and Omnipresence God who is the Executive Governor of all righteous governors. God will never support the wicked. God will disgrace the thief and corrupt people in our midst.

I hear that Agagu is in London, what for I cannot say but one thing I know is this, no one who is dining with the devil will survive the wrath of God ahd if I were Agagu, I will remain in London and hide my head in shame, but God forbid that I will ever be linked with Agagu.

Mimiko is our man of visio, calibre, compassion and mission. Only a few more days and we shall hear of the evil that PDP really did in Ondo State. Agagu’s trust is in man but we trust in God and God alone. They on the opposition will stumble and fall while we RISE AND STAND UPRIGHT.

God is good my people, only believe in Him. Have faith and dont join the enemy of Ondo State’s welfare.

  52. Omotayloron 20 Oct 2007 at 8:29 am

Grapevine news has it that Agagu is on a 2 month break. It is confirmed that he is currently in London and yesterday attended a dinner put together by London PDP members.

Interestingly although I did not attend the event, I understand from those who went that it was a pooorly attended event with only about 20 to 21 PDP members in attendance. Also Agagu was said to have attended with his brother Femi Agagu and son, and Pius Akinyelere.

Interesingly Agagu was said to have confirmed that baba won OBJ was with him but OBJ chose to remain at the Hotel where they all were lodged.

Interestingly again, some alatenujes and Godforsaken individuals who are supporting our Man Mimiko “behind the scene” were seen as members of the PDP camp! Wow, how low can some people stoop.

Interesting the most of all Agagu OBJ and all these lesser pretending master planners who want to contend with our Lord Jehovah are all out of the country Nigeria together. What hidden agenda do they have? Who cares? God is in control and will shame them all to the very end. Amen.

Our Lord Jehovah is the Author and Finisher of our faith. Day one is gone and glory be to God for Mimiko will be vindicated. The handwriting is already on the wall and it will be time for proper celebrations. This was denied the people of Ondo State in April when Mimiko’s mandate was stolen by Agagu with the assistance of Obasanjo. Now again both OBJ and Agagu are out of the coutry and in London together. Wherever they go, Lord God will continue to nullify whatever evil intentions they have, for they are always up to something sinister, but no more will their evil triumph over good in Ondo State and Nigeria.

Mimiko is ready to take the mantle, the battle ahead will be made easy for Mimiko in Jesus name for indeed Agagu has yet again squandered the resources of Ondo State and their secrets will be exposed sooner than later.

Oh well, fare thee well Agagu for you caused too much havoc, deaths and fightings in Ondo State and God will judge you.

Please pray well for day 2 tomorrow my people. All things good or bad needs prayers.

Rejoice Mimiko for your Lord God will never forsake you.

Mimiko gets nod to tender evidence
    By Femi Makinde, Akure
    Published: Wednesday, 24 Oct 2007
Governor Olusegun Agagu of Ondo State has failed in his bid to stop the governorship candidate of the Labour Party, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, from tendering some documents at the Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Akure.

    File
    Governor Olusegun Agagu

    File
    Mimiko

Mimiko’s counsel, Dr. Olumide Ayeni, had sought for the permission of the tribunal to tender the Independent National Electoral Commission Election Manual 2007 as one of his evidence when the substantive hearing in the petition began on Tuesday.

But Agagu’s defence team, led by Mr. Lateef Fagbemi (SAN), raised an objection to it.

He asked the tribunal to reject the document because it had not been deposited at the tribunal’s registry before its presentation.

Fagbemi also prayed the tribunal to reject the document because it was not attached to Mimiko’s petition.

He argued that this was in contrast to the provisions of Paragraph 4 sub-section 8 of the Practice Direction.

Fagbemi said that although he was aware that the law governing the tendering of evidence was amended in July, but he argued that the law which was in use as at the time the petition was filed in April should be applicable.

The Peoples Democratic Party’s lawyer, Mr. I. A. Adedipe (SAN), agreed with Agagu’s objection to the admissibility of the document.

In the same vein, the INEC’s counsel, Mr. Obi Okwuzor, and the police lawyer, Mr. J.C.A. Idachaba, also adopted Fagbemi’s arguments.

But Ayeni said that once a public document was signed, it could be tendered from the bar. He added that Section 114 of the Evidence Act permitted the tribunal to admit the document.

Ayeni asked the tribunal to discountenance the respondents’ arguments.

He said that the new law should be applicable since the Practice Direction had been amended.

He added that the law in operation as at the time of tendering the document should be applicable.

The tribunal, headed by Justice G. M. Nabaruma, ruled in favour of Mimiko and admitted the document. There was jubilation outside the courtroom immediately the ruling was read.

Following this, Mimiko’s lawyer also sought for the permission of the tribunal to tender INEC Form EC8D, which is the summary of the results from the local government areas of the state.

He also sought to tender Form EC8E, which is the declaration of results into the office of the governor.

After hearing the arguments of both parties, the tribunal ruled in favour of Mimiko and admitted both forms in evidence.

The tribunal adjourned ruling on it till latter in the day.

One of the expert witnesses of the Labour Party governorship candidate in Ondo State, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, on Tuesday, told the Election Petitions Tribunal how images of notable personalities were scanned from almanacs and newspaper cuttings and used as registered voters in Ondo State.

Some of the personalities include Vice-President Goodluck Jonathan, the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice, Idris Kutigi, Prof. Maurice Iwu, Senator Ahmadu Ali, Gen. Oladipo Diya, Mrs. Cecelia Ibru.

Others are Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, former world boxing champions, Mohammed Ali and Mike Tyson and one of the founders of the Christ Apostolic Church, the late Pastor Joseph Ayo Babalola. The cleric died about 49 years ago.

The names were also ticked on the voters registers indicating that they voted on April 14.

The expert witness, Mr. Waheed Yusuf, who is a graphic artist, said in his statement on oath that he observed that photographs of the public figures were scanned from almanacs, calendars and other sources.

However, the impersonated personalities were registered with fictitious names on the INEC’s voter-register.

Yusuf identified the photograph of Diya as the voter with number 373 on a voter-register while the PDP chairman was registered as Mr. Samuel Idowu.

Mr. Lateef Fagbemi (SAN), who is the lawyer to Dr. Olusegun Agagu, the first respondent, earlier raised an objection that the document, which is the voter-register could not be admitted by the tribunal.

He argued that the printouts were derived from the exhibits (compact discs) tendered but rejected by the tribunal on January 17.
