Endorsement Dinner for Mimiko
Endorsement dinner for Mimiko by The Nation
FRIENDS, associates, political soulmates and supporters of the Labour Party (LP) governorship candidate in Ondo State, Dr Olusegun Mimiko will on March 8 gather in Lagos for “a divine agenda.”
The plan is to raise fund for the two-time commissioner, former Secretary of State Government (SSG) and the immediate past Minister of Housing and Urban Development in his quest to govern the people of the Sunshine State on May 29.
Tagged “Endorsement Dinner”, the Mimiko Campaign Organisation has concluded plans to make the day a memorable one.
Venue is the Golden Gate Restaurant, Ikoyi.
In a letter sent to stakeholders by the chairman of the Fund Mobilisation and Contact Committee, Chief Dele Akinyele, the organisation said Mimiko would provide the needed leadership for people of Ondo State.
The letter reads: “It is my utmost pleasure to introduce to you a man about whom you probably have heard, but who nevertheless requires to be formally presented to you. I am talking of Dr. O1usegun Mimiko, Nigeria’s erstwhile Minister of Housing and Urban Development. You will recall, dear compatriot, that a great deal of efforts, time and resources was deployed by the Nigerian people before the current democratization programme was delivered in May 1999. Nigerians have many reasons to thank God in the emergence of civil governance in the country after several years of military rule

Little do the people know the true nature of the beast untill he reveals himself and destroyed all that is good then will we realise the evil, distrust and dishonesty that he posseses.
It is important that the great people of Ondo State know the type of leader Mimiko really is. He is a man with no honour or loyalty to anyone, even to those who follow him blindly, he is a man that prey on other using them for his own political and financial gain and when they are no longer of any use he discards them like a dirty napkin. If this is a lie all we have to do is look at his track record and there we will find the truth about the calibre of this man that wants to be govenor.
His betrayal of his mentor, his party (not the present one) and his followers is disgraceful, the man has know sense of political dignity or conscience whatsoever, he is a professional political prostitute whose only objective is for himself. For those who support him i give this warning beware for he shall destroy all that is good within Ondo State and you along with it.
Ondo State can not afford Mimiko becoming Govenor, it would be a travesty on the people of Ondo State. What ondo state needs is a man with a vision of progess and prosperity for the people not a man with a vision of personal gain, which Mimiko truly is.
How come it’s only you that can see this beast, Aristole? Do you know something thousands don’t? Why would the big guns in PDP jump ship for Labour Party?
Yeah, Mimiko has had more than his share of party hopping, but these events must be interpreted within context. Would you stick to a party that makes mockery of democracy or would find your way?
One thing you need to realize is that a politician without ambition is like a dead fetus, to have ambition and the clout to realize that ambition, even in the face of strong opposition, is a trait that separates leaders from followers.
Mimiko is a visionary leader and grassroots politician that deserves the vote of Ondo state people.
