Well well well, for a State that cannot boast of having constant supply of electricity, pipe borne water and other basic amenities, dont you think priorities are really gotten wrong in Ondo State when:

Ondo spends N900m on Idanre hill
Written by VANGUARD
Wednesday, 01 October 2008
THE Ondo State Government says it has invested over N900 million on the development of the Idanre hills in the last one year.
It said the action was part of the government determination to attract foreign investors on tourism to the project.
Speaking in an interview yesterday in Idanre, the Chairman of Idanre Local Government Area, Mr. Afolabi Adesoji, said the Oba’s Palace at the top of the hills had been rebuilt.

He said the mountain steps had been increased from 280 to 300 in order to enable tourists to climb it with ease.
Adesoji said the shrine on the hills was being reactivated and a town hall was also being built on the mountain while the first primary school in Idanre located at the top of the hills was under-going reconstruction.

According to him, Idanre Local Government has also contributed to the development of the hills to make it an international tourist centre through the development of artifacts, arts and culture.

"Plans had been concluded by the local government to promote “Orosun deity” and its worshippers through public enlightenment and education for tourists to know the importance of the deity,’’ he said.

The humanistic revival of classical government in Ondo State by Dr. Mimiko is obvious and certain. Agagu and Obasanjo know this but they want to deny the good people of Ondo State of their good destiny. They want us to remain in captivity of a modern slavery and the continual intimidation of Agagu’s animalistic type of government while he continues to loot our treasury for himself and his close family. What he (Agagu) refused to understand is when God says its finished there is nothing anyone can do about it. All the physical and indirect ferocious attacks by PDP, Obasanjo and Agagu cannot change what God has for the masses in Ondo State. The message from God to them is ‘‘let my people go’’ and if they refuse to listen, very soon they will all perish like Pharaoh’s army. The great period of revival of classical based government in Ondo State will surely come and that is very soon. There is nothing that Agagu or Obasanjo can do about it. The people votes have proved this during the election. Mimiko the Governor elect, the undisputed and unbeatable heavy weight CHAMPION please carry on, the people and Almighty God are with you.

Others include former Chairman of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Bode George, as well as all former chief executives of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) and NPA; the present Transportation Minister, Diezani Allison-Madueke; Ministers of State, Felix Hassan Hyat (Aviation) and John Emeka Okechukwu (Water Transport).

The truth will prevail in the end. God's ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are not our thoughts, but all things are for good for those who trust in the Lord. The way I see it, by the time Agagu is removed from office in ignominy, this would be all too clear for the whole world to see. Patience is a virtue, but shame that Ondo State coffers is still being hit hard day by day while Agagu is on seat. Well, accounting will be done and all looted money coughed up.

Our man Mimiko has gone through so much for Ondo State, and surely no sane person will make good governance in Ondo State uncomfortable for Mimiko after all what's happened. Hence Mimiko will govern Ondo State dilligently, capably and progressively. Peace

The leadership trait is all too obvious. Dr Mimiko has what it takes to deliver and move Ondo State forward, but he can't so it alone.

The actualisation of his dreams for the state is dependent on having capable hands in the administration, he can not afford to pack his cabinet full of politicians - a 40 technocrat-60politician ratio will work, I think.

I wish him and all Ondo State people the very best. The future is certainly bright.
