Another annulment claims Gbenga Ogunniya, PDP Ondo Senatorial District
Third-term Senator and Chairman of the Senate Committee on Police Affairs, Gbenga Ogunniya of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Tuesday became the first member of the Upper House of the National Assembly to lose his seat at the Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Akure, Ondo State.
The five-man tribunal led by Justice Joseph Ikyegh in a unanimous judgment on the petition filed by Patrick Akinyelure, the Labour Party (LP) candidate in the controversial April 21, 2007 National Assembly election in Ondo Central Senatorial District, nullified the exercise and directed that fresh polls be conducted in the constituency, comprising six local councils, within the next 60 days.

In addtion, there have been two annulments today (July 2, 2008)
One House of Rep member and the Speaker of House of Assembly lost their seats.
The PDP is about to capitulate in a matter of days!
when is the judgement for mimiko
And who says there is no God, only a fool – Psalm 14 refers. Ondo state await the verdict of all verdicts and it is good news for LP and Mimiko. I just hope and pray that there will be no order of fresh polls for it is crystal clear that Mimiko won the April Polls and defeated Agagu -hands down. We await d-day = victory day for us LP and of course our democratically elected governor Olusegun Mimiko.
I was kinda hoping that by today Friday 4th July, American Independence day that we at Ondo State would be hearing news of the liberation and independence of the good people of the state and the masses from Trickery, Injustice, Manipulation and what have you from Agagu and his camp. Anyway the last laugh is what is important and it will come soon. Agape
e patiently await the judgment from the Ondo State Election Petition Tribunal soon than latter. In the time being, it is not over in spite of all those annulments. As I told my friend in Akure the other day, “It is not over until the fat lady sings”. He asked me what that meant. I answered, “It is not over until it is over”. He asked again what I meant by “Over” and I took my time to answer. It is not over until brother Kokumo accounts for the 4.6 billion naira per month he received from the Federation Accounts (oil subventions) in the last 62 months that he managed the State. He needs to tell us how he spent 285.2 billion naira that came into Ondo State and the State is still ridden with widespread poverty, joblessness, hopelessness and inequity. It is certain that His Excellency, the Executive Gomina resident at Alagbaka, might have helped himself to our money the same way his Political god-father helped himself to those millions of naira, dollars, and pounds when he sat as the mini-god ruling over us from the kingdom at Aso Villa. This man spent over 1.3 trillion naira to rehabilitate Nigerian roads in 8 years, only to find out that in those 8years, over 17,000 people per year on the average died on those roads due to their badness. Brothers and Sisters, 136,000 Nigerians dying in 8 year shall hang on this man’s head because of the failure of his style of governance, which Governor Agagu emulated. These guys are master “Cheats”, of which “undistinguished Senator Ekpe”, “dishonorable Alaba Lad” and a host of these shameless guys are a part of. We leave them to their conscience and God’s judgment. That is when it is over, when my friend Olusegun Agagu leaves Alagbaka without any appeal, and declared innocent by any of the courts of the land for managing our funds rightly. Then, it is over.
We wait with Godly patience for patience is indeed a virtue. Mimiko is governor of Ondo State and when God says yes no one can say no.
Testing for updates.
