Agagu to indigenes: my doors are open. The Nation

Ondo State Governor Olusegun Agagu has called on indigenes who have meaningful contributions to move the state forward to come on board, no matter their political inclinations.

The governor extended the invitation when Akure indigenes, led by Oba Oluwadare Adepoju Adesina paid him a solidarity visit.

He said: “Our doors are open to accept anybody, no matter what political group he belongs as long as he has something to offer. The state is greater than anybody or political interest.”

He added:”There is so much to be done to transform the state and ensure it reaps abundantly from what the administration had laboured for in the last four years,”Agagu advised politicians in the state to always imbibe the spirit of sportsmanship.

Earlier, the monarch, while congratulating the governor on his re-election, had urged him to, in his “usual way of displaying maturity, continue to extend hands of fellowship to politicians in other groups, particularly to their leaders who showed keen interest in occupying the exalted position of governor of this state during the last polls.”

He said: “We anxiously expect that other leaders of our state would honourably join hands with you in your noble quest to further transform the state to a place of pride for all of us.”

Adesina described the governor’s re-election as “a clear testimony and appreciation by the people of Ondo State of his progressive governance and leadership, which had all along been sound, visionary and purposeful.”

He said the visit was an opportunity for his people to express their support for the fresh term of office given to the governor by Ondo State people.

He said: “It is our firm belief that, with this mandate, the laudable achievements of your government witnessed by the state through your people-oriented programmes during your first tenure in office, and which are clearly visible in all nooks and crannies of this state, would be multiplied and consolidated in another four years of governance.”

Agagu your doors ould be open but by the grace of the living God as long as your hands are not clean, as long as you usurped someone else’s mandate, as long as you have cheated the indigenes of Ondo state, as long as you are confirmed a corrupt and fake governor, as long as the blood of the inocent killed during the April elections cry for justice, as long as peole of Ondo state continue suffering due to untold hardship characterised by your 4-yr rule in Ondo State, as long as those so called people singing your praise do so falsel and as long as OUR LORD GOD SITS AND REIGNS ON THE THRONE OF JUSTICE, your doors wil be open only to punishment, suffering, violence, bloodshed, problems, disaster, hardship, disgrace, torment, and all ills that befits a wicked and injurious fellow like you. The only way you can escape the judgement of God is if you did not well and truly steal the MANDATE OF THE RIGHTFULLY ELECTED GOVERNOR OF ONDO STATE OLUSEGUN MIMIKO, Aa mandate that God will take from you and restore back to our dearly beloved, well meaning and true on of Ondo State MIMIKO. God will silence your lying cheating tongue and you will be rendered useless in Jesus name. YOU DO HAVE A CASE TO ANSWER TO GOD, TO MIMIKO AND THE PEOPLE OF ONDO STATE. Keep your open door well away from those who do not want disaster to be their portion in life. Go and ask Sagari how it feels to be heavily visited with disaster. Those backing and encouraging you will go down with you in Jesus name. God will not allow ONDO state to suffer for another 4 years. You had and never will have anything good to show or give. MIMIKO JAREE you cannot be shaken with empty pompous false talks from the likes of Agagu. Segun ju Segun lo. We all await the truth and justice. Even though it tarries, wait for it. Weeping may tarry for the night but joy comes in the morning – ALLELUIA.

i pray that God will restore back the mandate of the powerful iroko(mimiko) which was overwhelmingly given by the people of ondo state. There is no doubt that the journey will be difficult but the assurance is that after this darkness a showering light will ensue. He should follow the case to a logical end at the tribunal and i have no doubt that the impostors will be disgraced

Our God is good and according to Luke 6 v38 because we have done the right thing what we give will be given unto us …”good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, shall men give unto our bossom”… And for us all especailly the workers of iniquity, “for with the same measure that you mete withal it shall be measured unto you again”. Victory is ours in Jesus name. MIMIKO YOUR MANDATE IS ONLY BORROWED AND NOT STOLEN FOR GOOD. YOU SHALL WIN THIS BATTLE AND ONDO STATE WILL YET PRAISE THE LIVING GOD. Gba si beeeeee o jareeeeee.

Is there any chance that this matter will be resolved by May 29 or are we looking at another Anambra situation here?

  6. Adekunbi Akin-Tayloron 16 May 2007 at 2:45 am

The matter may or may not be resolved by May 29th but will be restored and the right thing would be done. What I await with interest is if Agagu will be sworn in knowing that there is a court petition and what this would mean to the people. I believe steps should be taken now to stop the swearing in as Agagu is not officially the winner yet. Knowing the Nigerian judiciary and Nigerian factor, matter may not be resolved this May but this should not dampen our spirit or weaken our resolve to support MIMIKO to the end which would be positive news of joy that God has through the Election Tribunal done the right thing by Ondo state by removing Agagu and not only that by his trial for embezzlement and subsequent imprisonment. His deputy the ballot boxes thief will also be tried and jailed in Jesus name. All in Agagu’s camps even his close friends who have killed, maimed and intimidated the poor in Ondo State will be tried found guilty and jailed in Jesus name. May they all rot in jail and roast in hell. MIMIKO FIGHT ON FOR THE TRUTH. YOU WILL NOT BE DISCOURAGED. YOU WILL FIND THE BATTLE FIERCE SOMETIMES, YOUWILL FEEL LIKE GIVING UP WHEN FRUSTRATED BUT MOVE ON AND NOT BE FRIGHTENED FOR THE SAVIOUR IS ON YOUR SIDE AND IT SHALL BE WELL. IROKO NI BABA IGI, MIMIKO NI BABA AGBA. God will restore your stolen mandate and we shall all jubilate in Ondo State. MIMIKO jo gba sibeeeeee
