Dr. Olusegun Mimiko

Mahogany Force is a consortuim of individuals and groups in Nigeria and the Diaspora whose mission is to advocate for justice, equity and rule of law in Nigeria. One of our strategies is to identify and support progressive candidates contesting for offices during the upcoming general elections in April 2007. In addition, their agenda must be in line with our mission – Dr. ‘Segun Mimiko is one of several candidates that meet this criteria.

We are inspired to create this platform following the unwarranted accusation of Dr. Mimiko by the Nigerian President, Mr. Obasanjo. As you may already know, this accussation is reckless and baseless. The scare tactics of Mr. President runs contrary to our core mission, and constitutes a clear and eminent danger to Nigeria’s nascent democracy.
