A Pleading Strategy? – Agagu to form unity govt
A group of professionals under the aegis of Ondo Professionals has commended the Ondo State governor, Dr Olusegun Agagu over his plans to establish a unity government in Ondo State.
Speaking with reporters in Lagos, the President of the group, Otunba Akin Akindoju said the decision of the governor to form a unity government set him apart from the pack.
Akindoju, who is the Chairman/Chief Executive of Seliat Group of Companies, urged politicians to be magnanimous in victory and emulate the governor.
“I wish to use this medium to commend Governor Agagu for being sportsmanlike and urge other politicians to take a clue from him and emulate him. They should reach out to those who are aggrieved, pacify them and find a way to accommodate them in the scheme of things.
“In the same vein, those aggrieved should not be implacable. They should exercise some restraint in their quest to redress the perceived wrong done to them, knowing full well that it is only God that gives power. In fact, I will urge them to bury the hatchet in the overall interest of our people and the development of our dear state.”
He further said that since all the stakeholders are unanimous in their views that the elections were fraught with irregularities, with the only point of disagreement being who was responsible for what, it behoves on all the actors to find a common ground and stop the buck-passing with a view to resolving their differences.
“If truly all those who seek public office do so in the interest of the people, they should endeavour to strike a balance between their actions and the overall interest of the people”, he said.
Akindoju, an educationist, commended Labour Party (LP) governorship candidate, Dr Olusegun Mimiko for his maturity and forthrightness.
He, however, pleaded with him not to pursue his election grievances at the Election Petition Tribunal because “as they say, when two elephants fight, it is the grass that suffers.” He urged him to listen to the appeal of the elders.
He said Mimiko has proved his mettle as a politician and that the people of Ondo State both home and in Diaspora appreciate him, adding that sooner or later they will reward him for his uncommon touch, loyalty and sacrifice.

Is this a joke or what. Is this Akindoju insane or has he been bought by Agagu? I think both. Some people should be stoned on sight!!!
Is this a clear case of the so called Akindoju trying to add insult upon injury or is this a statement made out of fear for knowing that the truth will soon be exposed? Whatever it is, it leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. I find this hogwash talk so patronising and I do credit HE MIMIKO for keeping his cool and sanity in the midst of all this. He stands out in a class well above the ordinary (MIMIKO I mean). Why would a so called educationist plead that MIMIKO should not pursue a quest for justice and the truth? What is wrong with some people. EGOMANIA? DELUSION or simple stupidity. Yes like I said before, some people have absolute trust in their own ego and not on the true and living God! Psalm 11 vs 6 – Upon the wicked the Lord shall rain snares, fire brimstone & a horrible tempest, Ps 12 vs 3 – The lord shallcut off all flattering lips and the tongue that speakest proud things; Ps 14 vs 1 – the fool has said in his heart there is no God, theyhave done abominable works. Agagu, Akindoju and all bunch of bootlickers and men pleasers alike, read the words o God. Psalms 3,4, 11 12 13 14 sums up our victory i.e. IROKO victory and your destruction. “Take a clue from Agagu and emulate him”? Indeed! I will rather die before i sit in the counsel of the ungodly. Our inquiries revealed that this Akin Akindoju is the most dubious element that could come out of Idanre community. If there is any 419 guy out there that should be kept out of decent society, it should be this Akin Akindoju. The school and all the properties he aquired in Lagos from 419 deal should be investigated by EFCC.The media should shun juicy money and stop granting press releases to illiterates like Akin-1 of Idanre, who categorize him as an educationist? what is his educational background for him to be advising the person of Dr. Olusegun Mimiko? He is nothing but a head of political thugs.
I am not surprised anyway if this gang of thieves are soliciting for Agagu’s support.

Oga Akindoju, I acknowledge you as one who speaks the truth, but in a twisted manner. Never mind, because I understand what it’s like to be in the opposing camp where the “cake” is. I salute your courage, even in the midst of confusion and fear. You are in the wrong place and you know it. It’s better to die telling the truth than live twisting the truth. What I just quoted you saying should have been written in a letter advising Agagu to respect the peoples’ wishes in order to further prevent bloodshed and death of innocent people.
Participating in an election, is to get elected into a position to be able to effect changes in the lives of our people in the first instance, so how did it degenerate into violence and deaths of our people? It’s on record that President Obasanjo unveiled the do or die agenda, and PDP launched their manifesto of violence during their grand campaign at Akure on the 3rd of February this year when Alao-Akala and his gang visited mayhem on Akureland; and from that, we knew what to expect from PDP as a party. It’s no news that government cars loaded with guns were arrested shortly before election by the police in Akure, and covered up by orders from above. That so many assassination attempts were made on the lives of HE Dr. Mimiko and key LP members/supporters before the elections. Intimidation and arrests of opposition members are still going on as I write so go and advise PDP and Agagu to put the people first, and self-interests as secondary.

I do not personally know the man Akindoju but as omo Akin myself I feel ashamed that an apparent nonentity like him could share our prefix. God will surely visit Akindojutimi and all who reason and think like him with ALL the Egyptian plagues. Why? Agagu is a fool. He prides himself in being manipulative and slippery. He paid a lot of people to work for him; yet they do it in a way that we still see him behind the clouds. I am sure they couldn’t find Mimiko to assasinate so the best thing is to find one idiot to sweetalk him. If not, why would a sound and sane man advise an aggrieved candidate not to seek redress? Why are the tribunals created then? And for someone who says the interest of the people should come first, it’s contradictory.
May be Agagu was drunk while giving instructions to this drunk man. He has used foul language to put right words across, and the result? Foul.

As for Otunba Akin Akindoju. We lived with him in Lagos and knew him as a man of dubious lifestyle.
I am not sure Agagu sent him what he just did. I think he is looking for a place to make political statement, and he made the first step wrong. There are good young people from Idanre. and I am sure 99.9% will disagree with Akin-1 about this errornous statement.
He is trying to feel the vital signs out there, I will tell him that people are just waiting to see the outcome of this tribunal. the blood pressure out there politically is 120/270, temperature is 141.

Idiots like Akin Akindoju should have been taken care of by EFCC long time ago. The guy is a stupid ass. He is a notorious 419 with chain of guys working for him. He is reputed to be the first 419 along the Egbeda axis of Iyana-Ipaja/Dopemu to set up a Cybercafe where young boys work for him to swindle people. He parades a lot of expensive cars which are the results of his exploits in the 419 world. His school (Seliat International School) and his residential house is sited on the same street.

Police fund scandal: Okiro under pressure to protect Ehindero

THERE is pressure on the acting Inspector General of Police, Mr. Mike Okiro, over the ongoing investigations into the source and owner of the sum of N21.6 million intercepted at the exit gate of the Force Headquarters, Abuja, last week from the aides of the former Commissioner of Police in charge of Force Budget, Mr. John Obaniyi.
The scandal, according to sources at the Force Headquarters, was reportedly linked with the immediate past Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Sunday Ehindero, and he was reportedly quizzed along with Mr. Obaniyi and his aides with a view to getting to the root of the matter.
It was gathered that Mr. Okiro briefed President Umaru Yar’Adua on the incident and the steps already taken to unmask those behind the scandal immediately he arrived from his overseas trip.
President Yar’Adua was said to have been disturbed by the incident and directed Mr. Okiro to go ahead with thorough investigations into the matter with a view to bringing those involved to book.
However, information from the Force Headquarters revealed that there had been pressure from both retired and serving police officers as well as others on Mr. Okiro to handle the matter with care in the interest of the police force in general going by the negative image the incident was giving the force in the media.

Brother Charlesco, I read your above missive in fascination. On the surface, one might think that you wrote out of anger and despair, but on deep reflection every sentence. you made is true. Initially, I was disgusted with Okiro and called him a rambling fool, but on the other hand I now really pity Okiro and dont envy his position faced with such Red sea in front and Pharoahs Army behind him. I am of the opinion that Yaradua has to take a solid stance on this matter and support Okiro in bringing Ehindero, BabaIyabo, ThiefThief ex governors and all other embezzlers like Akindoju and co to book. Yes the story of Awanebi does spell out the sort of evil we have in our midst. I have been warned for being too vocal in my writing about Politics in Nigeria, but I am not afraid for it is only the truth that can set me, Ondo state & Nigeria free. As for your mention of Agagu, another truth because Agagu has stolen so much from Ondo State that Ehindero’s case would sound petty compared to Agagu. where do you think he got all the monies he is using to buy people, lies and powere? From BabaIyabo farm? Oh no. They are all thiefs. Okiro will just have to plead to Yaradua to support him and expose all those fraudsters and Big boys National 419s of the highest degree. OBJ had a problem with Mimiko and could not just allow him in. This problem is that Mimiko is honest, uncompromising and fearless and Mimiko would have exposed Agagu all the way to OBJ big time. How can a reasonable mind tell Mimiko to forget the collective votes of the people and submit it on the table of the so-called PDP lead Agagu government full of rogues,ballot snatchers,political brigands,tugs and pen robbers.
I know for sure that Mimiko will use the instrumentality of law to pursue the case to its logical conclusion and i strongly believed that we ( the people of Ondo State) will chase Agagu out of office hurriedly.
