Another interesting piece. PLEASE PAY HEED TO THE VERY LAST PARAGRAPH AND TELL ME, WHO IS FOOLING WHO?

Ondo govt, LP trade accusations over plan to invade Edo - Ahead of Appeal Court judgment
Yinka Oladoyinbo, Akure
Friday, November 7, 2008
The Ondo State government and the Labour Party (LP) in the state on Thursday accused each other of attempting to cause crisis in Benin City, Edo State, as the Court of Appeal delivers judgment in the appeal filed on the judgment of the election petition tribunal in the state.

The LP and the government, in separate statements, accused each other of planning to invade the city on Monday with hired thugs to unleash mayhem and terror.

The Director of Press of the LP, Mr. Kolawole Olabisi, alleged that the government had released N250 million for the mobilisation of thugs to foment trouble with a view to intimidating the Appeal Court judges.

He added that government last week took delivery of over 100,000 vests, caps, bandana and pips, which were printed with the picture of Dr. Olusegun Mimiko and the LP’s flag.

Olabisi said “these vests, caps, bandana and pips with the colours and inscriptions of the LP would now be distributed to all the 18 local government chairmen who are all PDP members and coordinators who have been instructed to hire twenty buses each to convey the thugs who would be dressed like LP members and storm the venue of the Appeal court in Benin, unleashing terror on the judges and lawyers of the LP.”.

But the Director of Publicity of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Adeyemi Adedipe, said the plan to cause trouble was hatched in a meeting of a leader of the LP.

According to him, the agenda of the meeting, with only the top hierarchy of the LP who were put under oath, was to ensure that enough thugs, who would be brought in from outside the state invaded Benin City.

The PDP chieftain added that the confusion, which was being planned to instill fears in the people ahead of the judgment, was the next line of actions by the LP.

Adedipe called on the police and other security operatives in the country to ensure that “the LP elements did not succeed in their devious plans to derail democracy by its do-or-die tactics.”

A Happy Sunday to all well meaning, God loving, Peace loving people, and all those who keep on striving hard night and day to ensure that Ondo State becomes an Egaliterean Community. A blessed Sunday ti HE Dr Olusegun Mimiko, LP, all hard working lawyers and others for this fight for justice and truth in Ondo State. Well the journey has been long and hard, but God has been faithful throughtout as always. We have been able to prove at the Tribunal that the Mandate of the people of Ondo State as given to HE Dr Olusegum Mimiko was cajoled, wrestled, stolen, forced and falsefully given to Agagu, with the cooperation of and intimidation from OBJ and his cohorts of evil doers. The facts were displayed in court with able and creditable witnesses and factual data. On the other hand Agagu and his PDP group could not substantiate any of their assertions in court, (as they find it hard to substantiate their numerous claims of good administration in Ondo State). They brought in false witnesses who should be arrested and charged with perjury, they brought in FAKE/imposters. The Police could not bring in any witness, they could not defend their stance. OBJ should have been put on stand about the false annunciation of the Ondo State result in ABUJA. Ehindero should have come to state why the police were forced on the good people of Ondo State to intimidate them, but oh I forget, OBJ and Ehindero have serious problems, dont they? So be it for all evil doers will never go unpunished. His Excellency Dr Governor Olusegun Mimiko fought gallantly and righteously. He never wavered. He refused to be bought over and sell his soul to the devil. He was focussed on his mission and vision for Ondo State must be liberated and moved on to progress. Mimiko called for calm and did the CIVIL thing, in spite of all the PDP gymicks. Mimiko loves the people for he is a man of the people, as voted en masse for by the people. We have witnessed a lot in Ondo State from Nigeria, to Africa to the Diaspora. Now we await the final result for this week (I hope) the verdict would be given.

Would the Tribunal dare give a false verdict? I think not (that thing called the Nigerian Factor is gradually being eradicated for many now want to follow the path of truth and righteousness). The Tribunal has to date been fair and have not compromised their position.

Would PDP dare cause trouble in Ondo State when Agagu is booted out of office? I pray not, for they should now realise without an atom of doubt that the age of aggression, brutality, imposition and foolery is gone. They are not wanted in Ondo State, they should simple EVAPORATE. Yes we are aware of Agagu covert attempt to cause confusion by attempting to pay people to cause trouble by calling for a peace rally in A PEACEFUL STATE! How stupid. Thank God for the watchfulness and steadfastness of LP in Ondo State, by exposing all evil plots of PDP in Ondo State (all of which PDP is always quick to refute and rubbish but never convincingly). Agagu has been told for months now to pack his bags and leave. Hopefully he is packing them now.

Most Importantly, will Mimiko prove himself as a man of mission and vision in Ondo State. An unequivocal YES for our man MImiko is not just an aspirant to become governor in Ondo State. He is a freedom fighter, calling for justice, progress and upliftment of the people of Ondo State. He was called a thief by the chief thief OBJ, and found VERY CLEAN. He has a checkable and proven track record. He has proved to have a mind of his own and he is very focussed. He is hardworking, loves the ordinary people, not interested in the Nigerian "chop and quench" mentality. He is not a drunken socialite, he will not tolerate abuse of power and office (for he will tell you from experience that the righteous suffer when this happens).

Well I felt moved to summise the events so far from OMOTAYLOR'S point of view for this week will go down in History in Ondo State and God will reign supreme. For those who still struggle to understand what the fight for freedom and justice is all about, I pray you read books like "The Beautiful Ones are Not Yet Born", "Weep Not Child", "Cry Freedom", and read about the French Revolution and the fights of the French Philosophers like Montesque, Voltaire and JJRouseau for Freedom of the COMMON MAN in France. Thank God it all paid off then, it will also pay off in Ondo State by the grace of God (amen). PEACE

I understand there have been one or two House of Rep annulments this week. This indeed is a sure sign that PDP and their shambolic claim to the seat of governance are surely on their way our. As usual and with Godly patience we await the verdict of all verdicts soon and very soon. Mimiko will be declared and rightfully so, the winner of the April 07 polls. Peace
