THE chairmen of 17 local government s in Ondo State are in trouble over an alleged stealing of the sum of N72million from the statutory allocations for the 18 local government councils in the state, a case which the Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) is currently investigating.
According to findings by Sunday Tribune, the alleged chairmen, on the platform of ALGON, connived to remove the sum from the local government statutory allocation in Ondo State under the pretence that the sum would be used to purchase typhoid vaccines for distribution to all the local governments in the state.
The chairmen, it was learnt, allegedly perpetrated the act in 2004 in when they removed the sum N72 million from the local government joint account and shared it without purchasing any vaccine for their respective council areas.
Investigations carried out at the ICPC headquarters revealed that each of the 17 local government chairmen took away the sum of N4million on the pretext of using it to purchase the typhoid vaccines for their respective local government.
It was only the chairman of Akure local government area who refused to partake in the sharing of the largesse, according to investigations, as he was said to have insisted that the said money should be lodged directly into the treasury of his local government to execute the purchase of the vaccines.
Sources at the ICPC hinted that the money deducted from Akure local government area was indeed paid into the council’s account at Pacific Bank, now Unity Bank, located at Oyemekun Road, Akure.
A petition said to have been forwarded to ICPC by an aggrieved party in Ondo State prompted a thorough investigation of the scam in 2006 while the anti-graft commission reportedly affirmed that the fraud was indeed perpetrated.

Tigers are templates to their cubs; meaning that what a child sees his father or mother do, the children will copy. The PDP government has led by example in terms of corruption in government, and so everyone who has the authority to sign some money is invited to have a free day. Was Obasanjo not in government during this time? Was efcc not in operation during this time? Was Agagu not running the state, and paying his judgment debts (judgment of the Justice Nwazota panel that indicted him for embezzlement) to the federal purse from the state purse? Is this not the same gang that is forcing itself on our good people?
Well, we thank God that it is the same PDP that created the ICPC as a trap commission for the opposition, and the traps are catching theirs now. We surely don’t want them, and I can’t wait for the tribunal to boot them out.
And to think that OBJ, PDP even that theief Agagu tried to call MIMIKO A HONEST WELL MEANING AND WELL THINKING MAN OF GOD A THIEF! See that the Bible is always right. AS A MAN THINK SO HE IS. For anyone who has ever wondered where Agagu and his cohorts of thiefs found the money to bribe and bamboozle their way around while enriching their personal pockets – well they stole the peoples money in Ondo state to punish Ondo state and bribe their sycophants so called supporters including so called royal fathers and forget that GOD IS ON TE THRONE. They will all be well and truly exposed, shamed dammned and roasted by the fire of God. Well done to the Akure Chairman who refused to partake of evil, who remained integrous and who would not be bought by blood money. The truth will always prevail, ONE WITH GOD IS A MAJORITY. While 17 Chairmen in Ondo State are fast seeing their name written in the book of condemnation and judgement, Akure LG chairman’s name will enter the book of life. This is a lesson for all especially supporters of MIMIKO THE TRULY ELECTED GOVERNOR OF ONDO STATE. Do not remain in this noble cause if your aim is to steal and loot. MIMIKO WILL GOVERN ONDO STATE IN INTEGRITY AND UPTIGHTNESS. HE HAS A VISION AND MISSION OF HOPE, PROGRESS AND LIBERATION TO ACCOMPLISH AND THIS MUST BE SUPPORTED 100%. There is great reward in selfles service. SUPPORT MIMIKO SOLELY TO HELP ONDO STATE GET OUT OF THE HELL AGAGU IMPOSED ON US AND BECOME A MODEL STATE. MIMIKO God is working on our behalf and fighting our cause and like i said before there will be revelations galore and all would be geared by God to return your stolen mandate and bring you back to ALAGBAKA.
WHO WILL MISS AGAGU WHEN HE IS DISGRACED AND BOOTED OUT IN ONDO STATE? Only thiefs, daylight robbers, shameless alatenujes and destiny killers like him and their Babasale OBJ. I hear that there is room enough for you all at OTA FARM where pigs and swines like you reside in your hundreds. Start putting in your applications to OBJ as there will be No room for the likes of you in Ondo State.
